Agreement reached between Ocean Choice and FFAW for groundfish fleet

March 9, 2011

Ocean Choice International (OCI) and the Fish, Food and Allied
Workers (FFAW) have reached a tentative agreement involving approximately 200
OCI ground fish fleet workers based out of Marystown. The agreement is for two
years and offers improvements in both wages and benefits.

“We are very pleased we have reached a tentative agreement with the FFAW and end
the strike with our trawlermen,” said Blaine Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer for
OCI. “No one likes a labour disruption, and we look forward to getting the fleet back
in operation and work resuming at our Marystown plant.”

The new agreement will see the groundfish fleet back in operation as soon as possible,
and as such the company will be resuming operations at the Marystown facility on
Monday, March 21, 2011.

Ocean Choice International is one of Canada’s leading vertically integrated seafood
harvesting, processing and marketing companies with operations throughout Atlantic
